A framed sampler signed Mary Hinchliffe; it depicts a girl with a small dog. It belonged to a woman who was drowned in the 1944 Whitsuntide Holmfirth Flood, and was purchased in the sale of her effects. The two women who died in the flood were Miss Maud Wimpenny and Mrs D Schofield.
